In short, do yourself a HUGE favor and avoid this Dr and his horrible staff. In details, here's my bad experience with this Dr's office over 3 visits across 3+ months between Nov 2018 - Feb 2019: Visited this office 3 times, and each time, they lost a sample or screwed up. I first visited Dr Pereira due to having kidney stones, after a visit to urgent care. On my first visit he wanted me to catch the stones and bring them for analysis. They provided a collection container and after i collected my stones, i returned them to the office for analysis. Apparently, he thought he had wanted some other tests that he didn't mention on my first visit. He said it was in my file and his staff should have given me the instructions at the end of my first visit. - Strike one! When i visited the office to see the analysis, once i saw the Dr, he informed me that they lost my stones, all 3 of them! - Strike two! On my next visit, they wanted me to do a 24 hour urine collection… for metabolites. it took this staff 25 minutes to find and provide me with the collection container -- yes, 25 minutes of looking for one and asking questions to find one in their office!! this was very frustrating, but i don't count this as a strike, since they were doing their best to provide me with good service; still it points to the incompetence of his staff. (they even called quest during this 25 minutes) After following the instructions they provided, i went to quest to drop off my specimen. big surprise! Dr Pereira's office staff had given me the wrong instructions and wrong type of collection container for the tests they requested from quest! -- Strike three!! need i saw more? Move along, keep looking, this is not the Dr you are looking for!
