Dr. Jorge Luis Sotelo, MD

Dr. Sotelo recently treated a young person who was Baker Acted to Fort Lauderdale Memorial. Despite many attempts to reach him, he never called the parents. Without any input from the parents, he discharged this patient who clearly is a threat to herself and others and could have benefited from long term treatment. We will be reporting him to the Florida Medical Board.

After reviewing my psych eval which he issued at the UM/Jackson Transplant Center, he not only claimed that I was currently unfit mentally for a transplant, but his physical and mental depiction of my was so totally incorrect as to prompt me to write a letter of complaint.

Messes with the lives of people who are not even his patients, but need his signature in order to be put on the list for a kidney transplant...too lazy and negligent to call anyone back.
