The guy was likeable, but with me was inept. and he never listened to a single word I told him. After I left, he quit private practice to work at Oshkosh, but he certainly didn't last very long there. Meeting Dr. Bruce Heyl essentially saved my life. No matter what was going on, Dr. Alba would never listen, and yet the field is one with shades of gray...nothing is ever black and white or clear cut...the practitioner has got to listen to the patient. Likewise cause and effect makes a huge difference in therapy. There is no scripted therapy. Every person is an individual...so you have to listen. he simply never did. Once he diagnosed you, it became etched in stone. My quality of life went steadily downhill, until I finally left. It is amazing what inappropriate psych drugs can do to a person. It took ma quite some time to get my life back.

Inappropriate behavior towards persons seeking mental health help. Seems as though he is "burnt out" from his profession, and treats patients accordingly to his "burnt out" poor attitude with little regard to the patient's feelings *especially surprisingly so on 1st visit.
