Amazing, caring doctor and person. I was able to trust him immediately and after two years of working with him, that trust only grew. Most importantly an excellent surgeon. My surgery went as expected with very little pain. Everyone in the office is a delight, friendly and prompt. Additionally, he has a great network. I received care from some of his referrals, also outstanding.

Dr. Alberty refused to review a report of a PET scan done elsewhere that found NO cancer in me, after a biopsy done at his hospital found breast cancer. He was confused about an earlier treatment step he had talked about with me before the PET scan, one that would have involved further biopsies. He wanted to use a mammogram for that and denied that an ultrasound could be used. Just a little bit of research on my part showed that an ultrasound device existed that was as sensitive as a mammogram for the intended purpose. In fact, I spoke with a doctor at another hospital (in Mexico) who uses it. Alberty refused to even read the printout of the device that I showed him. He just didn't want to know about it, exhibiting no scientific curiosity about that device, or more importantly, the vast discrepancy between the biopsy done at his hospital and the PET scan, for which I sought a second reading by a radiologist. He was so rude that even though all the details of my visit to get the second… reading had been worked out with his assistant, he had me make a long trip to his office anyway, with no intention of honoring the purpose. I guess I should not be too surprised, because in an earlier visit he had humiliated me in front of two other people when the three of them barged into the examining room before I was ready, and he had me in an examining gown, even though his purpose was just to talk to me, making me more exposed and vulnerable than I had to be.
