I generally do not write reviews, but after seeing the unfair, untrue and bias review calling Dr. Barbazan the worst doctor in NYC, I feel that I have an obligation to tell the world the truth about this great doctor. Dr. Barbazan is one of the best family doctors in NYC.I have gone to Dr. Barbazan for over 4 years. He is extremely professional, knowledgeable and accurate in his diagnoses. He obviously cares about his patients and their well being. I have never been rushed and he takes his time to get to the bottom of the issue and to provide the right medical care and advice. When it comes to referrals to specialists, if and when needed, he has always been right on point and the specialists have been top notch. When my daughter became a teenager (and pass the years of utilizing a pediatrician), I was relieved that I had Dr. Barbazan as a doctor and he would also be able to take care of my daughter the same great way he has taken care of me through the years.As I stated in the… beginning of my review, I am dumfounded about one previous review calling Dr. Barbazan a bad doctor. The text of the review itself is suspicious and raises a ton of questions. Read it carefully and it almost sounds like a competitor, a business enemy or perhaps one of those patients who demanded drugs that Dr. Barbazan did not want to prescribe freely.The reviewer tells us that Dr. Barbazan has "the worst practice in Manhattan." But at the same same time he admits going to Dr. Barbazan several times; in fact so many times that he has noticed a "high-turn over rate in the staff." I don't know about other people's habits, but if I do not like a service provider, I go to someone else (and for sure I would not go that often or for a long period of time to notice staff changes).Then the reviewer complains about referrals to specialists who are South American and incompetent. Hmmm, do I notice an ethical bias tone? Is that the issue? And again why didn't this person go to another doctor or specialist of whatever ethnical background that makes him or her feel more comfortable?Finally with respect to waiting times, I must say that they have varied, but they have never been excessive. Dr. Barbazan is a family doctor who must deal with everyday and unexpected illnesses. I do not care waiting for 10 minutes when I know that if I call for an emergency appointment I am not going to be denied medical care.

Dr. Barbazan is a caring and wonderful doctor. Every time I have had a problem, he is responsive, makes time to see me and has worked hard to help me. I have been going to him for several years now and am always happy with the work he does.

DR.Barbazan always has time to answer all the questions about my concerns.Excellent bed manners. great personality and excellent medical knowledge.Besides my problems always he asks how my husband and my daughter are.I definitely recomend him to anyone who is looking for a family doctor,

First visit I got a 30 min interview, on a par with other family doctors.After that, mass production medicine. I never got more than 5min, and even that was hurried. He has several patients in different rooms and runs between them.I really can't judge whether he is a good physician or not, but he doesn not seem to care.I figure, it is a doctor in New York, what do I want, right?
