Dr. Jose Armstrong Bauza, MD

Dr. Bauza received his B.A. degree in Biology from Boston University College of Liberal Arts, Boston, Massachusetts in 1980. He received his medical degree and completed his residency at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine and Affiliated Hospitals. Dr. Bauza completed his final year as Chief Resident 1989-1990. In 1992, he completed a Neuroradiology Fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, Georgia. Dr. Bauza continued with MCG as Assistant Professor of Radiology, Neuroradiology Section until 1998, at which time he joined Brown and Radiology Associates. Dr. Bauza received further training in Interventional Neuroradiology  in 1994 at The National Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery in Mexico City. He is licensed to practice medicine in Georgia, and is certified by the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiology and Neuroradiology. Dr. Bauza is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology. He is a member of the American Society of …Neuroradiology, the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, and the Southern Medical Association. Dr. Bauza has participated in many lectures, presentations, exhibitions, and has been published in multiple periodicals and books. He is the 1995 recipient of the Teacher of the Year Award, Department of Radiology, and the Chairman Excellence Award, Department of Radiology at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Bauza is a member of the medical staff at University Hospital, Trinity Hospital, and Doctors Hospital.
