Jose Alexander Chavez Gonzalez, M.D., is a board-certified family medicine physician at Baptist Health Primary Care. He has more than 20 years of experience providing comprehensive primary care that includes preventive medicine, chronic disease management, treatment of acute illnesses and injuries and medication management. Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Chavez Gonzalez was a family medicine physician at Cedars-Sinai Connect in Beverly Hills, Calif. Dr. Chavez Gonzalez earned his medical degree at the Universidad de El Salvador Faculty of Medicine in San Salvador. He completed a family medicine internship and a family medicine residency at the University of California, Riverside, School of Medicine. Dr. Chavez Gonzalez is committed to enhancing the health and wellness of the community. He provides his patients with culturally competent care to improve their health outcomes and reduce racial and ethnic health disparities.
