Dr. Jose Ignacio Dulin, MD

I'm a 24 year old fairly healthy male and have been into this office a total of 2 times for high blood pressure and occasional palpitations that my doc couldn't figure out. I was originally sent in to get a sonogram of my heart valves and everything checked out perfectly fine. During that visit, we decided to go ahead and grab a pocket EKG machine that I would wear for a month, so I did. I later figured out that the only thing it could do was monitor my heart rate rather than actually analyze the electrical signals, so that was a complete waste of money. After that was over, I went in the second time as a follow up where they said "yep, you have an occasional fast heart beat". No, duh. The doctor never actually used the word "palpitations" either - it was always "the fast heart beat", which shouldn't be a big deal, but it just bothered me that the doctor wasn't using the proper terminology when he knew I used it correctly. He doesn't know what's going on and just put me on a… beta blocker. For these two visits, I've received at least 4 separate bills totaling well into the thousands of dollars (not including the portable EKG bill, which was outsourced). One of these bills showed up at my house earlier today, which is literally 4 months after my last visit. My profession is an engineer in the health care industry and I know how much IT contracts for these places are and this is completely unacceptable. I will not tolerate being charged thousands of dollars to be in their office for a total of less than 2 hours to be told that I have the exact symptoms that I originally came in for. I will not return to this location.
