Dr. Jose S Figueroa, DO

I found Dr. Figureroa after being dumped by my long term pain phy for 10 yrs. My list of diag. were so high no one in Iowa would see me putting me in the position of weaning off 2 opioids and 8 meds. by myself. As a retired nurse at 50 I have spent 10 yrs suffering from a failed spine surgery in 2001 resulting in spondylolisthesis now making its way up to the thoracic levels. After a L5 S1 hemilaminectomy with no stabilization with known signs of deterioration, I was left to be convinced by many it was my fault. I refuse to accept poor surgeons decisions as my fault. They knew I would suffer from osteoarthritis, rheumatiod arth. CFS. fibromyalgia, myofascial pain ... When I called his office they made 4 appts right then. I never wait, go to the room and he and his student is waiting for me. It's like having a sweet loving Dr. House. He admits what he does not know and gets other disciplines involved. I will need surgery which none of the others agreed. they waited for me to be w/c… bound. He is an answer to many years of prayers and a fantastic teacher. thank you Dr. Figureroa for my life
