terrible staff and a terrible office who ignores your calls. If you love yourself or your children, go somewhere else. It’s Christmas and I’m going to be without my medicine for a week and I’ve been trying to get ahold of them all week. Thanks Igoa idiots!

In reading the other reviews, I read my own complaints repeated over and over. The place is gross. Smelly and filthy, and packed. The wait is 3-4 hours for a 5 minute visit in which the PA doesn't even look you in the eye. It's all about the money. He books as many patients as the place will hold to get the high volume billing. Run the patients through like cattle. I actually refer to the place as "The Zoo". If you have an insurance or refill issue, you have to go in person because they NEVER answer the phone. Never. I haven't seen the doc himself in years - just his PAs -- some of whom are of questionable qualifications. How does he even still have a license??? The only nice people there are the ladies who make your follow up appointments. Talk to them if you need help with your insurance. Better yet, just find another doc if you can. I quit going there after COVID happened. God what a super spreader event that place must be now!!! There are few shrinks in the valley and fewer… still who accept new patients, but UTRGV has a psychiatric school now. I'm not too crazy about them either, but at least they are prompt, see you by video, and spend 20-30 minutes with you. I am DONE with Dr. Igoa's office.

Workers like to talk about clients among each other and what diagnosis they have behind doors. I over heard someone making fun of this particular person who attends there once.

Phones busy all the time. PA does not return calls of patient or pharmacy to get refills. Left messages during lunch hour with answering service because phones are busy during office hours and I can’t get through. Called at 4:52 and got answering service because staff left for the day before 5:00. Filthy office and long waits.

Dr. Igoa is the best psychiatrist I have seen . Honest, thorough, compassionate and very knowledgeable in his fields

I've never been so disgusted by a medical professional. This man's office is so overwhelmed they can't even receive phone calls. Leaving a message is impossible because all of their mailboxes are full. I have an 11 year old daughter that he put on Anti-depressants and anti psychotics and I can't get a refill. I can't even get a human on the phone. My daughter has been office for medication for days and the doctor is unreachable. It seems incredibly irresponsible to put children on heavy medication and not be able to follow through with treatment or even maintaining the medication that hes already prescribed, disgusting... If you care at all about your mental health or about the mental health of your children avoid this man at all costs.

Absolutely disgusting, to be honest. Feces and toilet paper in the bathroom, trash on the floor of the waiting room, and I had to wait over 4 hours before I was even called in to see a doctor. I will never visit this office again.
