Dr. Jose Luis Medina, MD

Dr. Medina is perhaps the finest physician I have ever met, and I worked for many years among the best of them at the American College of Surgeons. He is an astute diagnostician, empathetic and warm, does everything he can to keep costly tests and procedures to an absolute but necessary minimum--and he cares. He truly cares about his patients in a manner that I've never witnessed before, and probably never shall again. This man has saved me from sometimes overwhelming neuropathic pain, and kept me safe and well. I would trust him with my life. His staff is a stellar team ... so very kind and capable, all of them. Simply the best.

Dr. Medina is an excellent Doctor and has been the only doctor that has been able to help me with my back/nerve pain. I will miss him dearly when he retires and I will not know what to do. I have been to countless doctors, not one of them measure up to Dr. Medina!

You could not find a more compassionate Physician anywhere. Dr Medina has literally saved my daughters life, by thinking outside the box and most of all believing in her. His knowledge is amazing. He has the sweetest bedside manner, and does not rush through his appointments. He really cares about his patients. We would follow this Doctor anywhere. He is one of a kind!!! I can not say enough good things about him. What an amazing man and Physician.

I went to Dr. Medina for a diagnosis for back and neck pain along with numbness. It took over an hour to see the doctor, exactly 1hr and 10min. He came in "glanced" at my application that took about 30 minutes to fill out. The doctors assistant then came in the office and asked me to and change into a hospital gown. I asked him when the doctor was returning to the room and he said, "he has several patients". This was after being there 1hr and 25 min. The doctor returned and looked at my neck and back he said it will be another $350 for some nerve test. At that time I was informed that I was out of network and I would have to pay cash. I explained that I was not going to pay another 350 after the initial 250 to see him. He left the room and returned about 10 minutes later, smiling asking why you don't want to pay the $350, told him that I supplied him with an MRI report and that should be sufficient plus prior to the appointment I was told that it was "unlikely" you would need the… test if supplying the MRI report. The Doctor came back again for about 1 minute then left again. By this time it was going on 2 hours and I had a conference call at 4pm so I had to leave. I never spoke to the doctor again but called the next day for a diagnosis. They said that there will be no treatment plan unless I got the $350 test. This place are is just about making the buck. While I was there my room was right next to the staff answering the phone. It seemed like every caller reached to an argumentative level regarding service. I started to feel sorry for the person answering the phones until I was in the middle of exactly what the frustrated customer were calling about. This place is poorly organized and insufficent it its duties. STAY WAY FROM THIS DOCTOR UNLESS YOU ENJOY AGGREVATION.

I have been suffering from headaches for many years. I have tried all kinds of headache medication. No one every thought about looking at my neck as a source of my head pain until now. The doctor diagnosed a problem with my neck and treated it, and my headaches are not markedly improved. The staff was really nice and informative. Starting with my initial call to the office.
