Dr. Jose Guillermo Moreno, MD

I was a patient of Dr Moreno for many years, from 2005. He helped me through many heartbreaks events in my life from the loss of my husband and the very tragic loss of my 25 year old grandson. Yes, at times I was frustrated trying to communicate through emails or phone calls but as many Dr. I wasn’t his only patient . I was extremely upset when I could no longer get in touch. I think he’s leaving. Could’ve been handled a little differently.

Dr J G Moreno is a horrible doctor! NOT LGBT FRIENDLY! He like locking up your kids! Tryed to molest me in his office! I stand by this and will to testify in open court! Gives wrong diagnosis over and over. Totally destroyed my childhood! I was never the same after seeing this man!

My parents sent me to him for a mood disorder when I was 19. He will take the time to listen during your session which was probably the only thing I liked about him. He doesn’t return phone calls in a crisis and he’s lied about several important things. He never released my medical chart when I asked for it. I am seeing Doctor Putcha in Florham Park across the street from him and wish I saw her sooner. She’s amazing!

Voilates patient doctor confidential and also lies. Terrible with pharmacology so watch what he puts your kids on. Destroyed my childhood with unnessary drugs. Also refuses to give you a copy of your chart when you don't see him any more which is against the law. Will not return calls and seriously fly off the handle if he disagrees with you. LGBT unfriendly! Over 10 year patient. Start going after I had some deaths in the family. Next I'm diagnosed with this, then that, then nope not that any more, now it's this. So many unnecessary medications causing a lot of damage to me mentally. A direct result of going to him. Class action anyone?

This Doctor needs to retire. He changes your words and does not report the truth. He has said things that I fear will damage my child's future in school. The only reason we went to him is because the school recommended him...BIG MISTAKE, hopefully the school will find someone else. I had to give him a star because it was required...otherwise there would be no star...

Dr Moreno was one of the most positive influences in my son's life. I am so grateful for the time he spent helping my son through a very difficult time.

We had the same experience as a previous reviewer. Dr Moreno did a school evaluation for my daughter. He was very kind and personable and she felt very comfortable around him. However, when we got his report, I was absolutely appalled by the inaccuracy of the facts we gave him (which makes me wonder how closely he listens) and the conclusions that he jumped to which simply were not true. He read into a lot of things that just weren't there. This ended up being damaging to her with the way she was subsequently handled by the CST at the school, which only made her anxiety worse and made her develop a strong mistrust and disdain toward anyone in the psychological profession. As a therapist, he may very well be good. But if you're looking for someone to do a decent psychological evaluation for school, please go elsewhere.

He was very nice and personable, but he jumped to completely unfounded, damaging conclusions about my child, which were refuted by other clinicians who spent far more time. It took a year for my child to recover from the harm he caused.
