Jose Pizarro, M.D., is the chairman of radiology and section chief of neuroradiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Pizarro is board-certified in diagnostic radiology and has subspecialty training and is also board-certified in Neuroradiology. Dr. Pizarro has served as chairman and medical director at Orlando Health and was chief of neuroradiology at Orlando Regional Medical Center and M.D. Anderson Orlando. A graduate from the University of Puerto Rico Medical School, Dr. Pizarro completed his medical internship at Ponce University Hospital in Puerto Rico. He went on to complete a radiology residency here at our own Mount Sinai Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in neuroradiology at the University of Miami-Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Pizarro has lectured on multiple topics in Neuroradiology and has a special interest in spine imaging and head and neck imaging. He is a senior member of the American Society of Neuroradiology where he has presented in their international …convention and is also an active member of the American College of Radiology and the Radiological Society of North America.
