Dr. Jose Antonio Ramirez, MD

My husband saw this doctor for a knee joint replacement. He was all interested in making sure the insurance would cover it, but he could care less what happens afterward! He forgot to prescribe the walker he needed which was required by the hospital. He refused to let him get his pain meds from the hospital pharmacy knowing that we had no way to get to the drug store. He forgot to order in-home therapy, so that my husband was forced to take a cab to Waterville for therapy. And he failed to call me when his surgery was done. I frantically called all day. I kept getting an answering machine. I finally asked the operator if my husband was dead or alive? since no one was answering the phone up there. Then Dr. Ramirez called me back it was around 6 P.M more than 12 hours since my husband left the house. They also sent him home too early. I was recovering from surgery myself at the time and was not able to care for him properly. It was a horrible experience for us! And the surgery did not… get rid of his knee pain either!

spends time with patient. very informative and has great bed side manner. Is prompt, discusses all thoroughly with patient. Excellent follow up with waiting family after procedure. Cares very much for his patients.

Dr. Ramirez has a very good bedside manner. He listens to you and he is patient with you when you have questions or anxiety over a procedure. Best part is he went to Ohio State and Medical College of Ohio, so I know he received an excellent education.
