Dr. Jose Luis Rios, MD

DO NOT go to this dr!!! I had a very small spot (tip of pencil) of skin cancer removed. Dr Rios assured me that it would not leave that big of a scar being that it’s on my chest. He left over 3 inch hideous Frankenstein scar on my chest!! I am unable to wear anything but a T-shirt. This has ruined my self esteem and his response to that was absolutely nothing!!!! How he still has a license to do this to other people is mind blowing!!

Dr. Rios is a one-of-a-kind doctor who definitely has his patients best interests at hand. His work is impeccable!

Dr. Rios is by far my favorite doctor!!! He is one doctor that is 100% passionate about his work. My sister recommended him to me and with no hesitation I booked my appointment. From the beginning he was 100% honest and you wont find many doctors like that. From the second I meet him I knew he was the doctor for me. His sense of humor puts you at ease and makes the experience even more exciting. The day of surgery he even called me to see how things were going and that right there made me know I chose the right doctor. I honestly don't think I could of asked for better results and personally I don't think another doctors work would of even compared to his.

I did several years of researching Doctors and researching breast augmentations and talked to friends who had breast augmentations. I had my consult with Dr. Rios and immiediatly knew he was the one to do my surgery. His bedside manner was absolutely wonderful. He answered all my questions and made me feel at ease with my decision. Going into the presurgery consult i knew i wanted a much larger size then what i originally had which was a B cup, so we decided to go with 800cc which is a DDD. For my body type, ( im 5'9" 209lbs) they look perfect. I was afraid they would be to big but i am 100% satisfied and love them. From my very first consult to my most recent follow up consult with Dr. Jose Rios i have been extremely happy and would definitely recommend Dr. Rios to anyone interested or even thinking about getting a breast augmentation.

I am writing this 3 months post op after having breast augmentation surgery with Dr. Rios. The entire process has been wonderful and I cannot thank Dr. Rios and his staff enough for doing an amazing job from start to finish. CONSULTATION PROCESS: I went to my free consultation and had a wonderful first impression. Dr. Rios was very professionally, knowledgeable, and patient but most importantly he had a very genuine personality. We sat for 45 minutes and he let me ask as many questions as I wanted and also offered up tons of his own information without me having to pry or ask. I opted to have a second consultation with a well-known surgeon in downtown Chicago just for the mere fact of comparing information but in all honestly I already felt like I had my mind made up to see Dr. Rios. I must say I was not impressed at all with the physician in downtown Chicago (even despite his beautiful office suite and expensive imaging equipment). I felt no sense of trust or compassion like I did… with Dr. Rios. He was totally understanding and supportive when I asked to have a second visit where I could bring my mother in to meet him and again he was just as down to earth. Finally, It was time to try on sizing. This experience again was not at all rushed and also very laid back. He made the whole experience exciting and shared his opinion in a way that was not at all pushy but rather informative and enlightening. SIZING AND SURGERY DAY: I was initially a 34B (5â??10â??, 160lbs) and chose to go with 450cc silicone implant inserted underneath the muscle with my incisions being inframammary. His office staff guided me beautifully through the scheduling and payment process. I chose the Naperville Center for Surgery and would highly recommend them as well. Day of surgery, Dr. Rios made me feel very comfortable and explained the process well of what to expect. Day of surgery recovery was not bad at all. RECOVERY AND FOLLOW UP: I went through all of my recovery with only taking Tylenol or Motrin and by day 5 or so I was not taking any medicine at all! Dr. Rios called to check in on me and everything really went as I anticipated from our conversations prior. I was back to work within 6 days (took a little longer only because I do some strenuous work). I checked back in with him at 2 weeks where I received a bouquet of flowers from him (not something you see very often). Also went back at around 4-5 weeks and then 3 months, today. RESULTS: I am in love with the work that Dr. Rios did. I am in the medical field myself and understand the importance of getting total care. This is exactly what I received from beginning to end. I chose to write a review for the mere fact that anyone contemplating between plastic surgeons should truly know exactly what to expect and how wonderful he makes the experience. My end results are incredibly natural looking and feeling and are exactly what I was looking for in the end. My breasts now have very minimal scarring, no loss of sensation, and a beautiful shape. RECOMMEDATIONS: My recommendations to any patient considering this type of surgery is to always get consulted by at least two physicians, do your research, and to go with your gut (not just with what everyone else recommends, how fancy the office is, or how well-known). You want someone that listens, cares about your opinion, and most importantly makes you feel comfortable. Surgery can be a scary time for certain people and if your physician is not easy to converse with then it makes for a harder process. Lastly, I would recommend anyone who opts for surgery to wait until at least 2-3 months to consider writing a review. Your body goes through a lot of changes and from my research a lot of reviews are being down only a couple weeks post op when you really do not even have anywhere near close to your end results. Dr. Rios is one if a kind. He is friendly and easy to talk to. He never seems rushed and is focused on you. In my pre-op meeting he did a great job of putting me at ease. After surgery he was in constant communication regarding my healing. By far the bed "bedside manner" of any doctor I have ever had. I am always amazed when I go to the oIMG_9156.pngffice how quickly I am seen. His staff is also top notch. Very kind and response. Most importantly, I could not be happier with the outcome of my surgery. I look and feel great!!!

This guy is a loser! him and his wife (Lapinski) run their practice together. he should not be allowed to perform any type of surgery to the face, he's a breast surgeon. he and his wife scarred me for life. everyone who goes to this office has skin cancer, a simple clear mole could have been removed with the freezing method, which I asked for or laser option, instead it was chopped of my face, and then Mohs surgery was recommended. DON'T EVER DO THIS MOHS SURGERY ANYONE, WHAT A HORRIBLE SURGERY ON THE FACE. Opt for laser and go to Dr Kelleher or anyone else except this office! RUN FAST!!

Dr. Rios was the 5th plastic surgeon I went on a consultation with and I knew immediately that he was "the one" for me. Before I even get into Dr. Rios himself, the office and staff were EXTREMELY helpful, nice and professional. The office was state of the art, clean and quiet. Which seems kind of basic, but trust me- after 5 other consults, I had seen some very strange office setups.I immediately felt comfortable and relaxed in his care. He was very professional yet also very down to earth when talking to me. Compared to other PS that all seemed skeptical of me because I am young, Dr. Rios seemed confident in my ability to pay for and go through with my breast aug. Dr. Rios took the time to answer all of my questions and informed me that I would have to come in for a second consultation with him in order to proceed with my breast aug. I left his office knowing he was going to be the one! My second consult was the best, I was so eager to pick a size and schedule a surgery date. Dr.… Rios again displayed professionalism and extreme care and concern for my decision. He instructed me on what size would be best and then let me play around with cc's before I finally decided on 400cc's silicone. He was honest and upfront in telling me that if I go any larger I would risk looking bad and that 400 would be the best for me. I agreed and then went to confirm my surgery date. The day of surgery- my surgery time got pushed back which was sort of upsetting. I was already EXTREMELY nervous and was scared if I had to wait any longer- I would freak out and cancel...luckily I did not [lol]. Dr. Rios came in before my surgery and was again very honest with me, especially when I asked him "if I would die" lol which was one of my biggest concerns... he again, charmed me away from all of my worries and took care of me! I woke up with boobs and was instantly in love with them. That same night I was able to move around freely and shower with very very little restrictions. I was able to fully move around by day 2 and felt no pain at all after a full week. Even after my surgery, Dr. Rios continued to win me over by calling me that same evening to check on me and make sure I was okay. What really won me over was that I ended up having some sort of freak allergic reaction to something that was put in my IV, I broke out into hives all over my back, arms, neck, legs, and feet. Dr. Rios called me all weekend to make sure I was okay and provided me with suggestions to get rid of the allergy. A few days after my surgery, I went in to his office for a follow up visit and again was charmed and wow'ed by Dr. Rios. He even gave me a bouquet of flowers on my follow up visit! Like seriously, how many surgeons do you know that go the extra mile like that for their patients!? I truly fell in love with him as my surgeon and would recommend him to any and everyone considering getting a breast aug in Illinois. Don't go for the expensive surgeons with a lakefront office downtown- stay close to your home and visit someone like Dr. Rios. I am posting such a long and detailed review because prior to my surgery I was scouring the internet for reviews on Dr. Rios- good or bad- and found only 2! Hopefully this review will help other girls out by providing a truthful and detailed review about my experience with Dr. Rios. I love him!

Choosing Dr. Rios as my doctor was by far the best decsion I could have made. I cannot put into words how amazing of an experience he had provided during consultations as well as after the surgery. Dr. Rios was very personable and made me feel comfortable with my decision. I would recommend him to anyone considering plastic surgery! I couldn't have asked for a quicker recovery time.
