Dr. Jose Manuel Sanchez, MD

Nancy is phenomenal — kind, caring, and truly helpful. She went above and beyond to get me an appointment after I’d been hospitalized several times and urgently needed a new GI specialist. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Jose Manuel Sanchez was the complete opposite. He dismissed my symptoms and medical history in the first few minutes. I’ve been hospitalized 15+ times over five years for autoimmune and gastrointestinal diseases (GERD, gastritis, IBS, colitis, ulcers, cyclic vomiting syndrome, and upcoming laparoscopy for endometriosis/adenomyosis). When I shared this, his response was that it was “simply anxiety — because most females have anxiety.” He ignored my confirmed diagnoses and kept insisting it was anxiety. When I asked what he would look for in the colonoscopy he wanted to schedule, he said, “to see if you do have anxiety.” That was enough for me — I ended the appointment. I later went to the University of Miami and saw a GI motility professor who actually listened… and ordered the correct tests. She treated my E. coli infection, which Dr. Sanchez had refused to address, claiming only people with autoimmune diseases or cancer need antibiotics — even though I have documented autoimmune diagnoses and had been symptomatic for over a month. Dr. Sanchez was dismissive, unprofessional, and made biased remarks implying most women’s GI issues are mental. If you’re in later stages of trying to figure out what’s wrong, please don’t waste your time here. He makes snap judgments, doesn’t listen, and fails to consider full medical histories. Patients deserve to be taken seriously. We live in our bodies every day — we know when something is wrong. Dr. Sanchez, please do better. And to Nancy — thank you for being the one bright light in that office. You genuinely care, and it shows.

Excelente Médico con gran experiencia, conciso y preciso en sus evaluaciones. Me ha efectuado dos procedimientos (Endoscopia y Colonoscopia) en el Keralty Hospital, y todo a sido positivo desde la llegada hasta la salida. Destacando, el trato humano y respetuoso recibido, así como la atención del personal de apoyo y del equipo médico que lo acompaña.

Estuve en su consultorio privado en Julio 2022 y me ordenó una Colposcopia para el hospital Keralty. Me molesta que en el front desk donde se encargaron de direccionarme de todo, no me hayan informado que aparte del copago (ellas revisan lo del seguro enseguida), yo iba a tener que pagar un porcentaje de los honorarios del gastroenterologo por su intervencion en la colposcopia dentro del hospital, osea, el Hospital cobra utilities por separado que no incluyen los honorarios del gastroenterologo en el procedimiento de la colposcopia(como si alquilara el sitio al doctor), para saber esto el paciente tendria que tener una capacitacion en Medical Billing porque es dificil deducir por uno mismo que el dr. no trabaja en el hospital a donde le ordena a uno el procedimiento y que el cobrará al seguro por separado lo que el haga dentro del hospital. Ahora recibí un bill de $52, esto debio serme informado el mismo dia que organizaron todo lo de la colposcopia, antes de, a ver si yo estaba o no… de acuerdo, las negociaciones se hacen antes de a ver si el cliente acepta el negocio o no. No se cómo EEUU permite estas practicas a los sitios prestadores de salud, me pregunto, si a mi me hubiera sucedido algo negativo el dia del procedimiento quién respondía por mi, el consultorio o el Hospital Keralty que solo presto sus instalaciones al doctor, sólo que Keralty cobró sus instalaciones directo al seguro. Ademas de todo, el doctor Sanchez me recetó para prepararme para el procedimiento dos frasquitos pequeños que no debía ligar con nada, los cuales me tomé, no comí absolutamente nada durante 2 dias, perdí dinero de mis 2 dias de trabajo, y finalmente salen con que en la colposcopia no se pudo ver nada porque mi estomago estaba sucio, que debia repetirme la colposcopia, que tal! como si eso fuera tan facil, con lo caro que es atenderse en este pais la salud, mejor morirse de la enfermedad y no del infarto que provocan todos estos billes, el bill de Keralty para mi fue de $900 y eso que ahi no estaban cobrados los honorarios del dr. Sanchez. En estos consultorios deben ser claros desde el principio con los cargos que llegarán al cliente.

Dr Sanchez is a very good and dedicated doctor, listens to what patients have to say and symptoms. Just an amazing doctor. Highly recommended.

I just saw Dr. Sanchez and I was not impressed. I was there for a referral . He was not very friendly nor is his beside manner the best. All he cared about was doing a colonoscopy, and then proceeded to tell me that because of my weight, I would have the procedure done in a hospital and under general anesthesia. Like if I weigh 400 lbs or more. I kept telling him that I had just been diagnosed with diverticulitis. He ignored the fact and didn't even examine me! We agreed on a barium enema. I am a pretty intelligent woman with a past in the medical field. This doctor is not to my liking. It's up to you to see him, maybe it will work out for you! Good Luck!

I was at the hospital trying to figure out why I kept feeling bad due to my pancreatitis .....nurses sent him messages. ....still discharged me after I told CLEARLY that I was nauseous. .....no follow up HORRIBLE doctor he doesn't care! Stay away from him!!!!! Only after $ not human care

Sometimes great drs are víctims of over booking and a non-professional personnel.. Get another dr unless you want to be tripled booked for your appointment and are willing to wait with+ 80 year olds that have all the time in the world... Worse: if you ask how long is the wait after an hr, they give you attitude!
