Dr. Jose Antonio Sosa-Roche

I saw Dr. Sosa-Roche at his Tempe office. My last visit was in his home. He has no staff so patients records are scattered everywhere out in the open. The bathroom had at least 15 urine samples. I felt very uncomfortable. He was hard to understand And could not stay on topic. He made remarks about my appearance. I have no idea how he still has a liscense.

This guy is completely unethical. He says inappropriate things to patients, patient files are out in the open for everyone to see, and he talks about his patients to other patients. He is not up to date on current diagnoses and treatment. He is very difficult to understand. He does not return phone calls. His operation is out of his home and a bit shady.

I have been seeing Dr.Sosa-Roche for 2-weeks and my experience was wonderful. There was privacy, many pay options (including FSA/HSA/ all credit and cash just like any Dr. He is not a clock watcher and really wants to help people. Im reading these reviews and have to say The office manager was welcoming and helpful. I have had no problems with communication and my fallow ups. I was lucky to find a Dr I can feel comfortable with . Every one is different I guess .. my experience was good

Made an appointment for the following day because my psychiatrist wasn't available and i could not see her for over two weeks. I was greeted at the door by a pleasant young man who directed me to the doctor. Dr. Sosa-Roche is a kind and knowledgeable doctor who treated me with true concern and wanted to do everything possible to guide me after providing what i believe to be the most accurate diagnosis i have ever had. The doctor took his time and didn't rush me out the door like most of the others do. With his help i am now a more healthy and happy me. Only doctor i will see from now on. It was difficult to get and appointment actually set but i was seen the next day.

The doctor himself is knowledgeable and was able to give me clarity with my diagnosis. But, it is not uncommon for him to answer his cell phone in the middle of our "session" at $150 a pop, cash only. Paperwork and follow up were a nightmare - it took MONTHS for a prior authorization to be approved. Emails and phone calls are not returned and it seemed standard practice to have the office door open with people in and out and knowing everyone's medication, diagnosis, etc. I finally left the practice after another unanswered refill request (for a non-controlled medication) and never completing a form for ADA accommodations at work which thankfully my PCP has been able to take care of. Too many red flags - there is probably a reason the office doesn't accept insurance....there's standards and requirements to met. That should be all the warning you need.

Absolutely despicable!!! I made an appointment on difficult.com (so I actually didn't see the doc) but I called after I made the appointment and they said that the office manager would call me back to verify appointment. Long story short, I never got a call back. I called them and they didn't answer. Their voicemail box hadn't been set up yet *sketchy* and then on top of that, when I called one last time, they forwarded me to voicemail. I understand if they can't make the appointment, but gosh, reschedule. I have never had an experience like this with a doctor. Don't go here. I'm glad I didn't. I have never seen such unprofessional behavuor

This guy has to be a scam... I went to his "office" for my first apt and when I got there it was a house. . I knocked dr Sosa came met me at the door. He was with another patent. But asked me to sit up stairs I could hear there whole convo no privacy. When it wasn't turn the first thing he asked if I had the cash. Little confused because when I called him they told me they took my insurance. He wanted 250$ upfront. Told him this was not for me and I'm glad im smarter then most. I do not recommend this guy at all.

I can attest to this review. I to was a former patient of Dr. Sosa-Roche. Dr. Sosa-Roche was an awesome phsychiatrist i believe. The only thing that lacked was the communication between the secretary and the phsychiatrist. After calling more than a million times and leaving messages, no one ever got back to me. I even sent several faxes requesting a refill of my prescription indicating it was an emergency. Still no response. I'm extremely disappointed with the service i received from Dr.Sosa's staff. Immediately i knew right away that not all communications were being passed on to him. I too had a bad experience with the secretary. Dr. Sosa really understood my needs and what i was going thru unlike any other phsychiatrist. If anyone knows of his whereabouts please post it on this site. Thank you!
