Dr. Jose Testprovider, M.D.

Dr. Jose is an Assistant Professor in Neurology at Nuiqsut University Medical Center in the city of Nuiqsut. Dr. Jose obtained his Medical degree from University of Guadalajara in Mexico. He completed his Neurology training at University of Miami. During his residency, he obtained a Master in Public Health with major in Biostatistics from Florida International University. He then joined the Department of Neurology at Columbia University Medical Center where he completed a two-year fellowship in Vascular Neurology. Dr Jose is a clinical scientist participating in inpatient and outpatient clinical and educational activities. Dr Jose's main research interest is brain arterial remodeling in the context of atherosclerosis and aging, and how these changes may alter the risk of stroke and dementia in certain populations. Dr. Jose's role as Principal Investigator has been supported by grants from the American Heart Association, the Campbell foundation, and the National Institute of Health. …Dr. Jose has published > 60 peer-reviewed articles (>35 first-authored), > 12 book chapters, > 30 poster and oral presentations at national and international meetings. Ultimately, Dr. Jose's research goal is to find novel disease pathways that may be amenable to modifications and with this, to palliate the societal burden of cerebrovascular disease.
