Dr. Josef Klein Yeager, MD

A terrible physician. I went to him because of a concern about a small lump under my skin near my lip. He insisted it should be cut out, but assured me it would not leave a scar. After removing the lump he made no recommendations for how to mitigate scarring, but insisted it would not be an issue. At my next visit I asked him about the visible scar and he said it would go away. At the visit after that he said if it didn't go away it could be taken care of via cosmetic surgery. At the next visit he said I would just have to live with it because there was nothing that could be done. I later had a dark spot on my cheek and he insisted it should be cut out. This time I got a second opinion from a different dermatologist. He suggested applying a cream for a week and two and that completely cleared it up. Dr. Yeager is either the most incompetent MD I have ever dealt with or the most dishonest. Hard to tell which but either is concerning. If you want an honest assessment of your… condition this is not a person I would trust. I would give zero stars if that was an option.

I had seen Dr Josef Yeager for a black stripe on my nail. I was afraid it was melanoma. Dr Yeager checked me and put my mind at ease and referred me for a nail biopsy. A few days later he met Dr.Venna, a melanoma specialist at a conference and spoke about my case and asked him if he could see me. He went above and beyond knowing my concern and because of him I was able to see Dr.Venna right away. A doctor who is kind and truly cares about his patients. I know which practice I'll be going to for my dermatology needs from now on. Thankyou Dr.Yeager!

I have been a patient of Dr. Josef K. Yeager of Shady Grove Dermatology, LLC, formerly Berk Keahey & Yeager, for 15+ years! I was there today at their new location, 15245 Shady Grove Rd., Suite 370, Rockville. There office has an open uncrowded feel to it with a well-lit welcoming ambiance. There is plenty of comfortable seating in this office with its lovely decor and wonderful art displayed throughout. Their front desk team are professional, friendly and put one at ease immediately. Solita and Jennifer are whom I interacted with during this visit and they were very personable! The crown jewel of this practice is Dr. Yeager! Dr. Yeager is the kindest, sweetest, most gracious doctor I've ever encountered in my lifetime of interacting with doctors and other medical professionals! He has the most exquisite manners and communications style! But most importantly Dr. Yeager has stellar credentials, comprehensive expertise and experience in all things dermatological!
