Experienced Dr. Apata's care as a hospitalist in NCH North. See that his experience and credentials show he is an OB-GYN, but he is on the staff functioning as a hospitalist. Wonder why. His lack of care with patients borders on negligence; he functions to follow standard operating procedures and actually approved a discharge stating he prescribed the meds needed and the patient should go to "rehab". The patient in question was unable to eat, had not had solid food for over a week, 5 days under his care in the hospital, and actually qualified for Hospice once the family pushed a review and appealed the discharge. Whether it is this doctor's lack of ability or care or directives of operation for hospitalists at NCH overall, his services were worthless and showed a complete disregard for patient care.
