Dr. Joseph Paul Arpaia, MD

I am devastated that DR. Arpai moved on to a different type of work that he decided did not "fit" me" Really nice guy until he was not.

Dr Arpaia counseled me for a few years. His counsel helped me initially, but I came to observe that he was merely advancing his own research. He changed methods midstream and made me feel it was my problem for not keeping pace. I am still reeling. Three years later I am still trying to get back to where I was then, He is a capable person,but does not treat people to care for them as individuals

I'm so glad that he's my psychiatrist. He actually listens to me and is willing to spend an hour a session with me, instead of 15 minutes like other places. I appreciate that he works with me to find ways to treat my symptoms without having to take meds for everything. He teaches me meditation, and encourages me to explore new self-care techniques. I love that he has a super calm voice (like Bob Ross) and he wears nature shirts.

Dr. Arpaia's holistic approach to well being is spot on, he trained me to us meditation and exercises to end stress, migraine headaches, and anxiety.

Dr. Arpaia is the first psychiatrist I have worked with that not only hears me, but helps me find and use techniques that are helpful to the problems I'm experiencing. When I have been in trama he has quickly responded to my phone calls. When needed, he has extended my session if possible to better meet my immediate situation. I appreciate that Dr. Arpaia uses a variety of methods including stress reduction, meditation, visualization to name a few.
