Dr. Joseph Austin JR., MD

Dr Austin is on call for my father’s doctor since it’s off office hours. My father is having anxiety with his breathing. Dr Austin said he’s treating 50 other people with COVID and was sooo short with my dad. Telling him he wouldn’t prescribe any anxiety medication for some other doctors patients, that of which he’s on call for. And that my dad should go to the ER. This doctor sounded as though he has no compassion for anybody that he’s taking on call calls for. Very rude.

I am so impressed with Dr Austin. He first took a very thorough patient history from me. He asked numerous questions about my health and obviously wanted to treat the whole person, not just symptoms. He spent so much time with me, going over my tests results in great detail. He patiently answered all my questions. He was extremely knowledgeable. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a critical care specialist or pulmonary doctor

I have been treated by Dr Austin for over 9 years & he provides excellent, compassionate care. He makes sure that I thoroughly understand what is being explained to me in terms that I understand.

Excellent critical care in ICU and follow up for three years after. Amazing!!
