Dr. Joseph John Barth III, MD

Doctor Barth has been my primary doctor since I was a teenager (90’s). He’s always been very consistent and taken the time to thoroughly go over my chart and discuss any concerns etc. He is also my mothers Primary. We both appreciate Dr. Barth and his consistency. If you do not like being talked about how you can improve your health (hello!!!he’s a doctor!) he’s not the doctor for you. He takes his patients health seriously.

I was recently diagnosed with an aggressive cancer and sought advice from Dr Barth. He was thorough, knowledgable and gave me good information about prospects and probable outcomes with which I entered my oncology phase of treatment. He was patient and interested, as he has always been in my years as his patient.

Very smart, competent, and professional.

Can't speak highly enough about this man who's been my physician for years. He is intelligent, thorough, personable and up to date on the medical literature. I've never had any unresolved issue with him.

I rarely need to see the doctor however, the last four times I have had to see the Nurse Practitioner (fabulous) because Dr. Barth was unavailable. The last time I saw Dr. Barth he was short with me and when I expressed concern about my emotions and feelings he came out and questioned my ability at work and was not compassionate. He offered no resources to me and told me to have a nice day. With that said, I did get the antibiotic for my sinus infection. I learned after seeing another doctor regarding "withdrawl like" symptoms that the anxiety medicine I was taken off of (told to take a new one) was causing the mood swings because I should have been weened off of it and then introduced the new med. I told Dr. Barth this but the response I received was a concern about my career and "mood issue". I do like the NP at the office so I will continue to see her.

In one word: sincere. A busy doctor that actually cares.
