Dr. Bast really cares about his patients! Takes time to listen. I’m sad to see him leave my dialysis clinic. I would recommend him to anyone with renal problems.

I have been dealing with kidney issues pretty much all of my life. Dr. Bast is the best of all of the nephrologists I have seen because he is knowledgable, personable, generous, and kind. It is extremely rare to find a logically minded specialist with the ability to care so much.

i am delighted with the report from my son-in-law who recently saw dr bast for consultation about a frightening xray report. from the detailed patient evaluation, patience, compassion and reassurance shown from the doctor (as reported by my son-in-law/a man of few words:) i couldn't be happier. good job, dr and thank you so much!

He was rude to me and agreed with a dr from 20 years who did not even know I had Lipodystrophy. He was wrong in saying I had no positive blood and protein in UA. I had moderate blood and 300 MG OF PROTEIN IN UA FROM 2-2011 AND I HAVE PROOF!!! HE DID NOT READ ANY OF PAST BLOOD WORK WORKSHEET NOR DID HE READ ANY OF THE INFO I BROUGHT TO HIM. HE WAS MAD I WAS THERE WHEN I SAW A NEPHROLOGIST 20 YEARS AGO. HE WAS EXTREMELY RUDE TO ME AND NOW MAY HAVE RUINED ANY CHANCE FOR ME TO GET WELL!!!!
