Dr. Joseph Gerard Bauer, MD

I had breast augmentation 2 weeks ago and I can not be happier with the results. Dr Bauer is amazing, his bedside manners are impeccable! He takes time to listen to your needs and gives you an honest opinion. I have never had any surgery previously and he made me feel at ease, explained the details and outcome of the surgery very clearly. He truly cares about his patients and strives to deliver the best results to suit each patients needs. Dr Bauer has an amazing team behind him, anesthesiologist and nurses were fantastic! I can not than you all enough for being so thoughtful and caring!!

He was a very nice doctor back when he first started out..... but DO YOUR RESEARCH! Make sure you know what you are signing up for and know the complications that could happen. Seriously there are no stupid questions with plastic surgery consultation so ask anything because it’s going to affect you later if you don’t and these doctors won’t talk about complications unless asked. I know for a fact this provider has performed horrible work (I was a patient), won’t admit to it, and then tries to gouge more money out of these people to repair the first surgery he did. It should be noted this practice alters patients surgery notes and will not allow for these patients that have had surgery there to have access to their files or photos to discuss with another surgeon for another opinion even when they’ve been asked for repeatedly. People who have spent thousands of dollars for surgery performed at this center shouldn’t be made to feel like they can’t tell doctor they are unhappy with… their results without being told they are crazy or feel dismissed. This practice has a LONG HISTORY of doing just that. Back in 1999, I was young.. wanted implants and Dr. Bauer was the first and only doctor I interviewed to do my breast augmentation. Not only did the implants bottom out, but when I went back to him for help with this disfigurement, his suggestion was to put a BIGGER implant in me and charge more money to fix what I originally paid for. HUH? He had just become the swan center when this happened. Thankfully I went to see other doctors and they gave me the insight to go back to Dr. Bauer with the knowledge it definitely shouldn't cost MORE than my original surgery to fix. After ALL OF THAT, finally Dr. Bauer and his team agreed to just charge me operating room costs and the anesthesia (1/3 of the cost of his suggested fix). They looked great after reconstruction performed - like they should have looked all along. Definitely do your research and see many doctors before deciding to choose who alters your body.

They looked great after reconstruction performed - like they should have looked all along. I went to another plastic surgeon for a revision (cause I wouldn't recommend The Swan Center after my first experience) after having two kids and wanting silicone implants 12 years later. I only wish they had been available back when I had my first surgery. Silicone is SO MUCH BETTER... But definitely do your research and see many doctors before deciding to choose who alters your body.

I went to see Dr. Bauer after being unhappy with my current implants done, by another Doctor over 7 years ago. From the moment I walked in to the office, greeted by the friendly front desk girls I knew I was in the right place. The nurses were knowledgeable, friendly, attentive and listened to my needs and concerns. Dr. Bauer knew exactly what I wanted after examining my breasts. He was very thorough on the procedure he had in mind to correct my appearance and internal work. He offered a 2nd revisit if needed before surgery. I couldn't be more happy with my results as I finally got what I wanted. I do have to say i loved that the nurses knew me by name and were always happy to see me at my post op appointments. I only wish I would have seen him in the first place.

Didbt decide on surgery yet. Seemed rushed but office was nice. And nurse was nice but long wait.

I am very unhappy with my breast surgery by Dr Bauer. I had implants placed last year and I look horrible. My breasts are flat at the top and my friends say I have old lady boob's. I went back but nurse kept telling me this is normal. I only saw Dr Bauer 1 time after my surgery. My incision also took a month to heal and still looks worse than my friends incision. I'm just disappointed and don't feel like my complaints were heard. I won't go back again

I just had my one year follow up appointment with Dr. Bauer, and I can't thank him enough! I had 17 year old saline breast implants that I wanted to switch out for silicone and it took me several years to find the right doctor, but when I meet Dr. Bauer I knew he was the one! From the first appointment all the way through surgery and follow ups Dr. Bauer and his staff took wonderful care of me. Dr. Bauer's kind demeanor and talent to create beautiful breast are truly amazing. Thank you again Dr. Bauer you are absolutely Heaven Sent!!!

Doctor bauer and nurse kelly were nice but not sure I got breast implants as big as I wanted. Was told I have to wait for them to drop. Had to wait to long in office and was rushed out of place after surgery by nurse akita who even told me to "toughen up". I just had surgery. Give me a break!!!

I don't know how to thank Dr. Bauer enough for my surgery. The results that I see so far are amazing! From the time that I had my consultation to all my follow up visits, he has been nothing more than courteous, attentive and just a wonderful doctor. He answered all my questions, took his time with me and his bedside manner is impeccable. I never felt rushed even though the waiting room looked full. His front office staff, clinical and surgical staff are all wonderful. The clinical nursing staff are just exceptional in my opinion. Everyone that I have come across in that office made me feel right at home and like I was part of a family. I guess I am a part of the "Swan Family"! I'm so happy that I made the choice to see Dr. Bauer and The Swan Center for Plastic Surgery.

Best doctor I have ever seen. Compassionate and wonderful bedside manner with excellent results.
