Dr. Joseph William Beets, MD

I saw Dr Beets once in his office and the day of my colonoscopy. I am 55yo and have had colitis since 17yo. All these years I’ve been treated by two fantastic doctors who know I have never maintained a daily medication but take a dose pack if I have a flair. Not regular. Dr Beets in his office did not like that I hadn’t been on meds for 35yrs. But said we’d see how my procedure turned out. I’ve had reservations since that day but went on because I felt like he’d do a thorough job if only to try and be right. However, day of my procedure, he came into the prep room and his first words to me were that we’d be taking my colon out or I would have cancer in 20 years. Mind you, two colonoscopies ago I had a completely normal colonoscopy. I had the procedure but afterward reminded him he was not God. He doesn’t know his own future much less mine. Find you a good doctor with a bedside manner who will care for you and medically treat you with thoughtfulness and consideration. It’s not Dr Beets.… Prisma nurses were all fantastic. He was a zero. Trust me on this.

Dr. Beets is an exceptional Gastroenolgist. He has a very caring bedside manner. He will listen to all of your concerns without hurrying you along. He is an expert in his field.

Great Doctor and has really great bedside manners. He is very thorough.

This Dr is totally uncompassionate, he does not care about his pts and will allow them suffer and does not try at all to figure out what is going on with you. In my opinion he should not even be allowed to practice
