Dr. Joseph Martin Belgrade, MD

Dr. Belgrade was very professional and informative in my first visit with him and he helped me make the decision to have my gall bladder removed. He did a great job on me, and took great care in making sure I was comfortable before and after the surgery. He staff was excellent and professional...and I recommend that if you are in need of a surgeon, give him a call.

Still confused I went to see the doctor in order to decide if I was going to have another surgery however doctor Belgrade got on his knees pulled my pants down for what I don't know and smacked me on my butt and looked at me strangely I'm still wondering why and I still feel violated I really thought he was a good doctor however I wonder why he seen me without a nurse in the room with him signed violated by the doctor Belgrade.

I had to go see Dr Belgrade for a incisional hernia, during a exam he put his hand on my butt and one on my abdomin and told me to cough. I didn’t think his hand needed to be on my butt. After the surgery I had to have the drain removed. It was at the top of my pubic hair line. I had to pull my pants down some for the drain to be removed. He pushed my pants down farther. I was very uncomfortable. I need to go back because I’m having issues but don’t feel comfortable going back.

I had two appointments with was Dr. Belgrade for hemorrhoids, and he was very nice. Told me that what I had then was no big deal and I should come back if I had any problems. Today I do have a problem--I have a very large and painful thrombosed hemorrhoid. I called his office and asked for an apptmt the next day. The receptionist told me that the next available apptmt was in two weeks! What good is his practice if he cannot see his patients when they really need him!

Dr Belgrade is exceptional in every way. I can't say enough good things about him!

Surgery techniques good. Bedside manner needs improvement.

I saw Dr. Belgrade about a hernia, his specialization. He said definitively that I did not have one. After much suffering, I saw another surgeon, who found a hernia that he characterized as so obvious that a second year medical student could diagnosis. His additional comment was that I should be pleased that such an incompetent physician had NOT diagnosed my hernia because a botched operation is much worse than a botched diagnosis.To add insult to injury, Dr. Belgrade scolded ME for not simply living with the pain I was experiencing. I waited for months with progressively more suffering before I saw another surgeon. Probably, the hernia worsened during that time as well because I had a hard time recovering from the surgery. This was all due to an incorrect an arrogant diagnosis.I would recommend keeping away from this surgeon!
