I went to see Dr. Richards after dealing with debilitating headaches since 2007. Five years ago I was diagnosed with Intracranial Hypertension. Until now I was on meds and frequent lumbar punctures to drain excess spinal fluid. I came to Dr. Richards because a lumboperitoneal shunt was needed. I was scared and nervous. On the day of surgery, the entire staff was kind and understanding of my nerves. When Dr Ricahrds came to see me in pre-op I voiced my concerns about the surgical pain afterwards and he was honest and upfront about the pain I would have and that he promised to take care of that for me with good pain meds. My surgery was two weeks ago so I cannot say that my headaches I was having prior to surgery are completely gone but I will say that it is considerably better. Dr Richards is the kind of surgeon that you want for you or your loved ones. He take time to answer all of your concerns and questions. He is so sweet, kind-hearted, intelligent, warm, and comforting. I will most… definitely recommend Dr. Richards to anyone in need of a kind and compassionate surgeon.
