Dr. Joseph Burchenal

My father has been a patient of Dr. Burchenal for quite a while. Recently, my father contracted endocarditis and was hospitalized. Dr. Burchenal did not respond to calls from rehab staff or to messages the family sent through his practice's portal. My father wanted to know how much damage had been done to his heart (quite a lot). However, Dr. Burchenal would not make time to see a patient with an urgent need. Instead, his staff said he was scheduling several months out. This is not what patients expect from their care providers. If you are looking for a cardiologist who will stand with you in an acute situation, Dr. Burchenal is not the right choice.
