So professional and very knowledgable. Dr. Centeno's background from UC Berkeley, UCLA and Stanford puts him in the top of his field.

Dr. Centeno corrected a botched knee surgury from another surgeon. Highly recommend.

Dr. Centeno did two knee replacements and one shoulder surgery on my husband over a period of about 4 years. He's outstanding and gets superb results. Also, he truly listens to what you say and can tell by the look on your face how you feel. Nice guy!

I accept that most surgeons are arrogant - I consider them mechanics. They aren't warm and fuzzy; they are only interested in the mechanics of the patient. My experience with Dr. Centeno was just that. It took several follow up visits for our family to completely comprehend what was done and what to expect. He neglected to examine our mother in the follow up visits and failed to convincingly communicate to the family why. His communication skills were lacking in that he presupposed that we knew more than we did about the procedure and aftercare. It took several visits for our family to understand the medical issues, the prognosis, and the ongoing future medical treatment.. When we contacted the office for a prescription, we were referred back to the G.P. His care had obviously ended with the procedure. If you want a good mechanic, our family has no qualms (yet) about his ability. However, if you want a little bit more from your mechanic, look elsewhere. We found him… frustrating and condescending.
