Dr. Joseph Isaac Cohen, MD

My boys have been going to Dr. Cohen for over seven years now. We are so blessed to find a caring doctor who understands their patients' needs. He has never rushed us during appointments; he asks my teenage boys essential questions about their health and just everyday issues teenagers go through in life. He's very personable and detailed about their annual checkups. I would highly recommend Dr. Cohen; his whole office has been delightful to work with, and we will miss them as my boys go to adult primary care next year.

My recent review, oct 2021. Cohen is unprofessional, unethical ,disrespectful and rude. I totally agree that he needs to seek mental help. He can't be called a doctor who could not even diagnose a simple eczema issue on my previous visit and told me to ignore it as it is very common. On my recent visit he denied treatment to my 9 yr old who is asthmatic as the parents are unvaccinated and he also tried to push the vaccination on the little kid. His behavior frightened my son. Would stay away from him for sure !

Dr. Joe was great at first... but I showed up 7 minutes late for my daughter's 4 month check up and they wouldn't see her. The front desk said he thought it would be ok but when he asked Dr. Joe, he wouldn't see her. I went and cried in the parking lot as I am a new mom with a teething baby and lots of questions.

I had an experience with this Dr on his personal business, he was talking on his phone about how he couldn't wait to go back home to London and how he hated America. He left a bad taste when he first came in, and an even worse taste today. Go back home if you don't like America!

Great doctors and staff who go the extra mile and really care.

This Dr. is all about cashing in on the insurance. I have taken my two kids, (5 & 11) to him numerous times over the last year and a half. They both have been diagnosed of having 'strep' 9 times total. Really? I got so frustrated because I know the symptoms of strep and my kids were suffering from allergies and the common cold. They needed cough syrup so they could sleep and not throw up from coughing so much. Unlike the other reviews, I have never had problems with the staff.

We recently became patients, that is right patients, even though we only have one child. Dr. Cohen does not just treat our son, he addresses our issues as new parents as well. We interviewed Dr. Cohen before selecting him and having the honor of having him as our son's doctor. Coming from Austin to Cedar Park has definitely been an eye opener...this area has a lot of growing up to do, but the level of intelligence and professionalism shown by Dr.Cohen and his staff is well ahead of the game, for Cedar Park, Austin, Texas, etc. I am very protective person, and I think of myself as a good judge of character...in my opinion, Dr. Cohen has us as patients for the next 18 years.

As a new patient, my child was rescheduled 3 different times for a well check for no other reason besides incompetent office staff and a computer "malfunction". Needless to say, I did not reschedule on the 3rd go around.

He seemed like he was in a hurry, and he smelled like cigarettes. I will take my children elsewhere.

I am the step-mom of 2 boys, 3 and 4. Our 4 year old has autism and is a serious handful in a doctor's office. He bit a strep test stick in HALF. Dr. Joe's staff is amazing with him. They realize he will wiggle and squirm and roar and scream, and they are patient and don't make us feel like terrible people because we can't control a 4 year old.When the kid's dad first took them to see Dr. Joe, they had no insurance and had recently lost medicaid. He took them in for high fever, throat, etc etc. When the office staff and Dr. Joe found out that they did not have insurance, they walked Dad through the steps to get medicaid and told him to NEVER decide not to bring them in based on lack of insurance. Until the kids finally got approved for Medicaid/CHIPS - Dr. Joe and his staff personally took care of us any way possible. The bottom line is - Dr. Joe cared more about treating my kids than making money. THIS is the sign of someone with passion who puts his patients first. Don't let lack of… insurance be embarrassing. We went through it, and with our doctor's help our kids got treatment. Call him.
