Dr. Joseph Alan Cook, DO

Called last week to make a New Patient appointment the receptionist who took my information and created my chart was very helpful and had high level of patience (although supposably didnt know they dont take my insurance) got a call last thursday stating they need to reschedule my NP appt as they have a conflict that day I said fine i will all back to reschedule. I kept getting text messages reminding of my appointment so decided to call in to see if it was cancelled or do i need to be there. I spoke to someone who stated she was not in the office and has no information on someone calling to cancel so she'll have to transfer me to Lauren. Upon transferring to Lauren i was placed on a 15 minute hold (not exaggerating) which in itself would make one very upset. Having Practice Admin experience I know for a fact calls are to be documented ESPECIALLY when calling a Patient to reschedule/ cancel their appointment. Still on hold i hung up and called in again as no one was returning to the… call and was continuously placed on hold, no "hello" or "please hold im with another Patient" very frustrated after the 5th time of calling finally got through to Lauren again and asked for an office manager. She stated she can take down my info and have Norma call me back. Issue is I've now been on hold for 30 minutes and still dont know if i have an appointment or not, I advocated for a manager or doctor to get on phone to enlighten them what a run around joke of a front staff they have. Lauren kept stating "my office manager cant come to the phone" I told her i was not hanging up as what if i was a 80 yr old Patient confused about my appointment and this is the ringer im being dragged through. Lauren put me on hold again without saying anything and put someone else on the phone who didn't introduce herself. I asked who I was speaking to and they said "Norma" upon telling "Norma the office manager" my concerns all she said was "okay" when this is in fact not okay the lack of professionalism and incompetency is very concerning and I really hope Dr Jospeh Cook sees what type of people are at the for front of his practice. This is very sad as all i wanted to do was establish but everything happens for a reason and im glad the staff showed me how incompetent they are with human lives i wouldn't want it to be mine. DO YOUR RESEARCH ON THIS OFFICE STAFF THEY WILL BE THE ONES YOU ARE DEALING WITH. I hope Norma finds a better suiting job for herself(maybe in fast food) as she is a juvenile in handling Patients.

He was so professional and concerned about me. You can tell he is where he should be. I told all my family members about my visit and encouraged them to go see him. He is really concerned about your needs.

Dr. Cook takes as much time as necessary to do the exam, provide thorough and easy to understand answers, and answer questions. His staff is always courteous, pleasant, and professional. And, I love his nurses. I've never had to wait for my appointment.

Dr.Cook is very prompt and accurate. Couldn't ask for a better family Dr.

Doctor Cook has taken great care of me. It's been a long and rough road, but slowly I'm getting my life back one step at a time.
