Dr. Joseph Thomas Crowe, MD

I saw Dr. Crowe for a meniscus tear. I had surgery within 2 weeks, which was good. However, the follow-up appointment was terrible. He was condescending and doesn’t listen. He is determined to get his words out and doesn’t listen to the patient. He flat out told me, you won’t be ready for the Spring and to get your knee straight by Wednesday. I almost laughed out loud and cursed him out because he assumed that I wasn’t performing the exercises. Before I know it he jumps up and says, See you in 2 months. I will never see Dr. Crowe again in my life. He is a grade A butthole. I wish I had never chosen him to perform my surgery. Don’t waste your time. Choose someone who is less of an egomaniac.

Dr. Crowe is the best. I had gone to him years ago for a torn ligament in my ankle and because of his treatment, I have never suffered with pain during bad weather or at any other time. I went to him in recently for a frozen shoulder after not getting much relief from another orthopedic doctor who would't recommend PT. Once again, the treatment and recommendation for PT helped me tremendously.

My relationship with Dr. Crowe was sad. He does not listen, His attitude, DO WHAT I SAY, I HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR MORE THAN 30 YEARS." Eventually, I had to limp away because in my opinion he was neither flexible , supportive or sensitive to my medical needs.

I had a good visit with Dr. Crowe, I believe he runs late with patients because he will try to squeeze in patients who are in severe pain. His office staff answered and worked with all my insurance questions.

Arrived at office at 9:30 and did not see the Dr. Crowe until 10:45. He was running from room to room which made him rush with me as well! He suggested I get physical therapy for a condition I've had all my life. Before my visit was over I mentioned to the MA I had a few more questions. When she mentioned this to Dr. Crowe he loudly stated..."I'm finished with her and if she has anymore questions she needs to come out here"!! Please keep in mind we only spoke for 10 minutes if that!! When I told him I preferred not to go to therapy because I had been through therapy on 3 different occassions with 2 different doctors and it never worked he told me "We are not going to get along because you won't listen to me and i have been doing this for 30 years and if you don't want to listen you can go see someone else"!!! I have never had a doctor speak to me in this manner in my life!! I asked him if he could prescribe me knee braces for extra support while working out in the gym and he refused… because I told him I was not going to pyhsical therapy. The office staff suggested I see another doctor in the practice but I will never go back there again! Office staff was nice and pleasant but Dr. Crowe....not so much! HORRIBLE!!!

I was referred to Dr. Crowe by a dear friend and was treated very well during and after the carpal tunnel surgery. I haven't had any need to contact him until now and trying to get a hold of him was nill to none.

this doctor has yet to return my calls after a week of messages regarding the need for physical therapy. very unprofessional.
