Dr. Joseph Edward Davis, MD

My daughter has been a patient of Dr Davis for 9 yrs.She has a kidney disease that causes a lot of stones.He has moved to Birmingham but we still see him there.He has a no nonsense manner but he is a doctor who is at the top of his field.You can believe what he tells you 100%.We love him like a family member!

I was in a bad situation as I had just had surgery to remove a kidney stone. The previous physician did not put in a catheter, and I was in extreme pain. The operating doctor had gone on vacation, so I had no choice but to go to the local ER. Dr. David was the urologist on call and he quickly did testing and found that my kidney had completely swollen closed. He did emergency surgery, and I recovered very quickly. I continued my care with Dr. Davis because of his quick reaction to a patient he'd never seen, but also because of his very compassionate nature. He cared for me as if I were his own daughter. Not many doctors actually care anymore, and that is why I love and highly recommend Dr. Davis.

Dr. Davis has relocated to the Birmingham area. He has been practicing with UAB since 2012.

My husband came in to see Dr. Davis recently for a kidney stone problem, butalso with a CT Scan stating that my husband had a cancer diagnosis. Dr. Davis immediately took action for him tosee a surgeon the next day which began his treatment for this very serious problem.Without Dr. Davis's quick inter-vention, we would still be waiting. Hewas caring, swift to act, compassionateand, I feel, the best doctor I have everencountered.He took a personal interestin my husband.

I have had several experiences with urologists. No one has been better than Dr. Davis. He is very compassionate. He explains things very well. His attitude of care carries over to his staff.

Dr. Davis has been my Physician of choice for over a decade. His support staff is efficient, kind and concerned. His diagnosis has been accurate and his treatment efficacious. He is focused and detailed but not impersonal. I can always expect a firm handshake and a reassuring smile. If you are seeking a no-nonsense doctor who goes the extra mile to insure your health, Joe Davis is a competent, caring physician dedicated to his pratice.

I must completely disgree with the rating given by "SAM". This is the most caring doctor that I have ever seen. His office staff worked me in immediately. I was thoroughly pleased with Dr. Davis. He spent a lot of time with me and went over all of the options I had for my problem. He was a wonderful and caring person. I have called his office back on numerous occasions with questions and am always answered in a very timely and kind manner.

Must have gotten his bedside manner from Dr. Gregory House. Talks down to his patients in person and over the phone. No wonder his staff is so unfriendly.
