Dr. Joseph Michael Diacovo, DDS

Dr. Diacovo, DMD, MAGD, is a  graduate of the University of Pittsburg School of Dental Medicine. After spending one and a half years with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Mobile Dental Unit, serving the indigent, he returned to his home town of Kingston, New York to establish a cosmetic and restorative practice.
He received his BA from Colgate University and a Masters degree in physical chemistry from Penn State University.
He is the receipient of the Academy of General Dentistry's prestegious MASTERSHIP AWARD for his committment to advanced continuing education and training. There are less than 2000 dentists nationally who have received this honor since its inception. He has been a Fellow of the Academy since 1991.
He has been honored by the New York State Dental Society for the completion of over 1500 hours of advanced continuing education.
Dr. Diacovo is a past president of the Third District Dental Society of the State of New York. He served two terms as predident of the …Ulster-Greene CountyDental Study Club and is currently the chairman of the Third District Dental Claims Committee, which reviews malpractice actions brought against member dentists.
Dr. Diacovo has been appointed  a clinical research associate at NYU and his office has been approved as a clinical research site in conjunction with NYU and the National Institutes of Health. Ongoing research includes the study of post-operative sensitivity after tooth colored restorations, treatment of deep carious lesions and long term endodontic outcomes. Data is also being collected on the use of bisphosphanates such as Fosimax and the relationship to osteonecrosis of the jaw.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Asociation, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry , a Fellow of the International Academy of Dental Facial Esthetics and a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists

 He has advanced training in Cosmetic Dentistry through the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine's postgraduate program in Esthetic Dentistry and the University of Rochester Eastman Dental Center's Clinical Cosmetic Dentistry Program.
He has also received advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of mastacatory system and TMJ disorders at the internationally known Center for Advanced Dental Studies in St. Petersburg, Florida.
