Absolutely horrible doctor. Does not care about his patients.

A wonderful primary care physician.

I have had the worst professional experience of my life at this place. Since I started going to Dr Dic back in late high school (I am 25 now) I have had bad experiences. I used to work for a doctor that was his "ex" partner in an office (both of whom I guess had a falling through, since they do not speak anymore). Since Dr. Dic found out I worked there I was always treated poorly, which is inappropriate since I was a high school kid happy to be working at all yet alone in an office. Continually I was always treated very poorly by the staff when I would call, and the doctor was always very short tempered with me (even after I graduated high school and stopped working at the other doctor's office). It got to a point where I switched doctors right before moving to California for a few years because I couldn't handle the stress of continuing to be belittled by a doctor's office that should be nurturing and kind. Flash forward a few years: I move back to NY and needed an appointment… with a doctor. I figured (since my ENTIRE family sees him - mother, fathers, and sisters) I would try and schedule an appointment with him for a physical (required for my job). I get an appointment last week for this upcoming Monday without any hassle, so all looked good. I even got a call this morning to confirm my appointment, which was great. Then I got a call at lunch time from the office manager to let me know that my appointment was cancelled. When I asked why she said it was because I left the office and I'm not allowed back. I asked if the doctor was accepting new patients and she said yes; however, I was not personally allowed back. I told her I moved to California and that I am back now and she insisted that since I went to a different doctor in NY I must have left for a reason and that the doctor doesn't want me back. I told her that I did leave for a reason 3 years ago but figured since my family went there I would go back and continue seeing him. She told me no - IT WAS THE DOCTOR'S CHOICE NOT TO SEE ME! I told her the office is rude and impolite and that this was unprofessional and she just said "oh well, you can go to another doctor". I'm not asking to go back to this man as a patient but I want to warn anyone who goes to him or considers going to him not to! This is one of the most unprofessional things I have heard of and even if it is his right as a private doctor to turn patients down for no reason, it doesn't make him a good person or a good doctor for that matter. As a side note, I have NEVER had this issue at any other office. I am a very kind, generous, and easy going person who never presents any issues to others if possible. I have always been the one flexible with appointments if emergencies came up without any questions and have never given reason for others to not like me. This was unbelievable!

Have been going here for 13 years. Tried two other primary care physicians before him & they both were terrible. Dr. Dic is Kind & caring and will tell you like it is. My only negative is his follow up could be a little better. I am very satisfied with him and his staff is professional & friendly.

I have been a patient of Dr. Dic's for over 20 years. He is very straightforward and a very good diagnostitician. Will never change doctors.
