We are very satisfied with the care given by Dr. Ducksworth and his staff. They were very attentive and caring. They did not rush us in and out, and paid careful attention to any concerns or questions we had. When I called with questions after my son's surgery (wisdom teeth) they were answered immediately (no waiting for a call back hours later or playing phone tag with a nurse). I recommend this practice highly.

Best Oral Surgeon and office staff ever!!

We first met Dr. Ducksworth the day after Easter, 2012. My husband was in terrible pain from what had been a combination diagnosis of TMJ & an impacted wisdom tooth sitting on the trigeminal nerve that runs through the jaw. We had been through 2 other specialists & an expensive mouth guard which didn't work. Our urgent care clinic said he needed a maxiofacial surgeon. (As a medical side note, my husband has had uncontrolled hypertension using 5 meds plus it affected the kidney function. We were given a list of names, none of whom could either fit us in or took our insurance. I went to the listing of surgeons, checking their background & calling offices that Monday morning. I kept coming back to Dr. Ducksworth and a "little voice" kept telling me "call him". I did & we were in his office within 1 hour. He reviewed the x-rays, the history, did the exam and agreed that the impacted tooth was the likely culprit of his pain. He told us if he numbed it up & the pain went away, that was our… clue. It was! They had to wait about an hour before they could surgically remove it because he'd had something to drink. We came back in an hour and Dr. Ducksworth & his staff got busy, put him to sleep and removed that nasty wisdom tooth. As expected it broke into pieces, but he was finally out of agony. We went back a few days later for him to check to make sure he wasn't developing a dry socket. It was just the fact that the tooth was so difficult to get out, and no problems brewing. Almost a year later to the day, we were back in his office this morning (4/15/13) regarding the 2 teeth that were looking suspicious last year. They will be removed next week. I cannot express how much I appreciated their help, the office staff & his nurse were fantastic. Dr. Ducksworth took a lot of time explaining & checking to make sure what the problems were both times, answering all questions we had. No one likes to go to the dentist, but if you have to have extractions, you want the best, especially if you have a difficult medical history. I will also have to have all of my teeth pulled due to my diabetes & dry mouth which has ruined my teeth. I want the best I can get and someone who will be up front with me. I have had other teeth pulled by oral surgeons & an implant done. These are not easy procedures. Maxiofacial surgeons have 4 additional years of training beyond the normal and are trained for trauma. I couldn't ask for a better surgeon for the job! Thanks, Dr. Ducksworth & your staff!!!
