He misdiagnosed my mother’s brain tumor. He told her it was a Gioblastoma which needed to be operated on immediately. When we asked about doing a biopsy, he said it would be “a waste of all of our time”. Thankfully, we sent her to Boston for a second opinion. She had a biopsy the next day, found out it was CNS Lymphoma. If he had operated he would have killed her immediately!

I had a brain surgery back in July 2006 at Albany Medical Center. He did an amazing job and changed my life. Not only did I stop having seizures that I had for 20 years, but was able to stop all medications and had zero side effects. Thank you Dr. Emrich - Ashley

My story would be too long to post here. I was a patient of his at Albany Medical Center back in 2008. I have epilepsy. I am used to surgeons not really having bedside and I am ok with that. He was rude, arrogant and did not explain the surgery at all. (That's the least of it) I beg anyone who is considering surgery with him to reconsider. Go to Boston, Mass General, NYC (basically anywhere else). At the very least get a second opinion.

Very rude from the start first thing out of his mouth was why are u even here.Ive been seen by two other doct who diagnosed me with same thing,finally referred me to this guy who saids pain in my head lose some weight and do pt which i already did.He needs to learn some bed side manners.Very rude would never ever recommend this jerk

This is yet another unconcerned neurologist who didnt even push pull or touch any part of my body or neck during my visit. His PA was very rude and uncaring. She was not thorough and NOT polite. I overheard her make a rude comment when she left the exam room. Ive been suffering for years. I did not deserve their rubber stamp, and push off attitude. Got no help and ended up insulted. I do not recommend at all.
