Dr. Joseph Lawrence Enama, MD

Dr. Enama had been seeing my husband for rhuematoid arthritis over several years with no remarkable issues. Then husband began to have issues with increased RA flares, weight loss, chest pains, overall weakness. Husband was not articulate but Dr. Enama was patient and kind in getting him to talk as we worked through diagnosing a number of problems. Husband is now expressing that he feels the best he's felt in a very long time. Very happy with Doctor Enama and his gentle way in getting husband to talk.

This doctor is rigid and abrasive. I brought in my entire medical history and he told me that most of it was invalid, even though many of the labs I've used are federally inspected and respected labs. I told him I was in the process of being accepted into a study for a new drug for my condition (Lupus) and he did not ask me a single question about it, not one. He looked at me like I was crazy. I told him that I had a blood draw recently (rheumatologic panel) for this study and that they were sending it to my primary care office which could be sent to their office, instead of my getting stuck again. He seemed frustrated with this request and also didn't know who my primary care doctor was. I was very upset by the end of the visit and I would not recommend this doctor.

So far so good...I see him again today
