Dr. Joseph Ansel Evans JR., MD

I was a patient of Dr. Evans at Chapin Family Practice for over 15 years. I called 2 weeks ago and was told that since it had been over 3 years since I had seen him, they would have to get the Dr.'s approval to make an appointment. I called back last week when I hadn't heard from them and no one remembered speaking with me. I was told that they still had to ask the Dr. and that I would hear back from them in 1-2 days. A week later, I called again and was told they still didn't have an answer. I received a call back later that afternoon and was told that since it had been over 3 years (It's been 3 1/2 years), they would no longer be able to see me as a patient. I was a loyal and happy patient there for over 15 years. I often referred people to Dr. Evans and my daughter even shadowed him when she was in school because she thought she might want to be a doctor. I am in shock that I now have to find a new primary care physician simply because I haven't been sick in 3 years.
