I COULDN'T BE MORE HAPPY TO CHOSE DR FERNANDEZ AS MY ORTHOPEDIC DOCTOR BECAUSE IT WAS AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE SINCE MY FIRST CONTACT WITH THE OFFICE TO REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT. CARLA TOOK CARE OF MY REQUEST WITH GREAT KINDNESS AND WAS ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE ME IN A WAITING LIST. TWO DAYS LATER SHE CALLED ME TO ADVISE SHE WAS ABLE TO CONFIRM AN EARLY APPOINTMENT. THE NURSE THAT TOOK THE XR AND ROBERT THE MEDICAL ASSISTANT WERE SO UNBELIEVABLE TENDER AND LOVING. THEY BOTH SHOWED THEIR CONCERNS TO MAKE ME FEEL COMFORTABLE. FINALLY DR FERNANDEZ WAS AMAZING. HE TOOK ENOUGH TIME TO REVIEW MY MEDICAL REPORTS, TO EXPLAIN TO ME THE BEST CHOICES I HAD, EVEN GOING TO INTERNET TO SHOW ME PICTURES SO I COULD UNDERSTAND HIS EXPLANATION. I WILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND DR FERNANDEZ.

True, honest and professional! Isn't in the business for the money. Takes his time with his patients and doesn't seem rushed and ready to exit the room. If you want an honest physician, make your way to him. No one better. Saved me from a surgery that was not needed!

Dr. Fernandez is not only scientifically competent, he is passionate about his work and carefully examines each variable to ensure the best results. He is not your "quick to surgery" professional, he evaluates all options before he recommends the best one for you. I usually don't rate doctors, but this case is an exception. In addition, his staff, the PAs and support personnel are also outstanding, they care about the patient and go far to ensue total satisfaction. I wish all doctors were like Dr. Fernandez!! Thank-God for Dr. Joseph I. Fernandez and his staff!!!! God Bless.

Dr. Fernandez and both of his physician assistant are great! I had to wait a little to see him but it was well worth it. Thank you all for your patience and assistance.

I had a total knee replacement under the care of Dr. Joseph Fernandez on 8/25. I have nothing but great things to say about my experience with Dr. Fernandez and their staff. I have never waited more than 20 minutes to be seen. Through my entire knee replacement process, his office staff was always available and ready to help with my needs. I highly recommend Dr. Fernandez.

I am writing this review approx. 8 months after my surgery. I was told by another surgeon that my rotator cuff injury was so severe that it was "not reparable". He said my options were shoulder replacement or ligament graft. Drove 150 miles to see Dr, Fernandez, who checked the MRI and told me he could fix it arthroscopically. And he did !!! I'm pain free for the first time in over a decade and am able to not only function, but work out again without any problems. I couldn't be happier with both his skill as a surgeon and the care offered me by his staff. I have, and will continue to, recommend him highly.

Had a left shoulder replacement done by Dr. Fernandez in 2009. I have cerebral palsy on my right side. After the surgery I had limited mobility and a lump appeared over the incision . Pus was coming out. Dr. Fernandez misdiagnosed the lump. He did a total of 5 or 6 procedures on my shoulder. I should have gotten a second opinion, my fault but I had such faith in Dr. Fernandez. Bottom line the infection went into my bone, and if it weren't for another surgeon I would have lost my ONLY good arm.

Dr Fernandez is the best orthopedic doctor I have ever been to.Living in Miami and staying physically active, either by activity or by car accident, chances are you're going to need an ortho/sports doctor. Many times you get an orthopedic surgeon through the emergency room. I broke my bicep tendon in another state and came beck to Miami for the surgery. I consulted a couple of surgeons and it was instantly clear that Dr Joe was the right guy for the job. He's smart, competent, confident, and is a true professional. His knowledge and skills are top notch. His staff; specifically, Christina, Brad, and Matt are also top quality. There was no cutting corners and the staff treated me very well. I feel very lucky to have found Dr Joe Fernandez. He fixed me right up and "it was a piece of cake" If you need to have something done, save yourself some misery and start with this guy. You'll know as soon as you meet him, he's no schlep. After experiencing 2 botched surgeries from 2… other surgeons, I got a good idea of "what not" to look for. Dr Joe ans his staff are top notch, 1st class, from start to finish. Thanks Dr Joe!

Execptional! Experienced, knowledgable, realistic while very profesional, he realy cares for the patient. I had meniscus and rot cuff repair surgeries.
