Dr. Joseph Anthony Fiorillo, MD

I was a new patient a couple years ago and I didn’t remember this when my PCP referred me to him, but what a terrible doctor. Horrible bedside manner. Has zero time for his patients. My last appointment with him I felt like he didn’t care, he was “too good” or “too important” for me. He sits on his high horse because he is a doctor. Can’t be bothered to see you or have any grace when you show up on time instead of the 15 minutes before that every other doctors office says. Unlike every other office who will still see you, he is a jerk who refuses to see you. I wish I had remembered why I didn’t have a follow up appointment the last time I was his patient. I have had thousands of doctors appointments over the course of my life, thousands. And this is the only doctor who has ever done this to me when I’ve shown up at the time of my appointment. It also took them over a month to call me to set up a referral, almost two months, so it was 3 months later before I actually got an appointment.… DO NO GO TO THIS DOCTOR IT IS A WASTE OF TIME.

Pros: charming, warm, really SEEMS to listen and care. Cons: makes mistakes, doesn't communicate IMPORTANT medical and drug info to his PT/office staff/ computer system. Pharmacist had to catch drug interactions between 2 drugs he prescribed AT THE SAME TIME. Didn't communicate the same facts between his office, my hospital visit, my insurance. Never gave me info on what exactly my cancer status was or went over ANY scan results with me, just piled on treatments and more tests without explaining anything. I always felt disempowered and confused after visits and blamed myself, but now I see it was his poor communication and steamrolling of as many procedures as he could bill insurance for.

He seems unsure about himslf, and how office procedures work. He is very insensitive about the situations he creates. I would not reccomend this doctor, and advise anybody else to seek medical advice elsewhere.
