Dr. Joseph Francis Fowler JR., MD

I wrote a previous review, but not in detail and got a doctors response to call his office to discuss it. i will not, as I dont think he took the initiative to really care about my case to start with. I travelled from Ms, as I was developing allergies and irritants to everything I use s on my face for 4 years after a face laser I had done. I was getting dx with seborrheic dermatitis on my face, by home Dermatarologist, when I felt like it was from irritants. I saw ither derm's with the same dx. Because of the burning and not being as to use anything on my face, even water, without a acute reaction, I knew it was not seb. Derm. I reseached to find a doctor knowledgable in Irritant contact dermatatis. That is why I made a appointment and traveled and paid for the visit out of pocket because my insurance would not pay out of state. I am a complex case with ACD and ICD and thought he was a expert in this and would dx me right. He said the burning was from a nerve condition and gave me… a rx for garabtin, an dgave me a name of a local dermatologists.My face only burns around my irritants and allergens so I knew this was not what was happening to me. I knew ai was also allergic to things in the medicine he prescribed. He referred me to dermatologist in my home state that called me and and said he was referring me to the orginal doctor who made the wrong dx of seborrheic derm. He never took my history or really cared. He just didn't want a complex case Like mine, I believe. I found another great dermatologist in Ohio, and Washington who help me and diagnosed me right, with ICD and ACD Due to complications from a yag laser done 4 years previous. He was just one of the many derm's I saw that didn't really care and take the time, instead just passing me off.

Wasted trip and money.

One Doctor that cares and will take the time to find the problem. My son is 20 and in college and still wants to come home to see Dr Fowler when there is a problem. He is the best!

I spent a year of inaccurate diagnosis by other dermatologists and was prescribed tons of medications that I did not need. My allergist sent me to Dr. Fowler who immediately diagnosed the problem, gave me patch tests and changed a year of suffering and frustration. His manner is matter of fact and lacks embellishment, but he knows what he is doing for sure!!

We were going to another Doctor and not getting results. Dr Flower changed my son's medication until he found something that worked. I reseached Doctors on the web and he was highly thought of.

Excellent in all respects.

I felt rushed by Dr. Fowler, and my questions were not answered. I felt pressured into accepting a treatment that I didn't know enough about. I would not return to this office, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
