Dr. Joseph Michael Freund, MD

He's patient, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. Not afraid to yell at me (metaphorically) if I need it, and he really cares. He takes all the time I need to have my questions answered. It's so hard to find a good doc - he's the best.

He really seems very knowledgeable, it was hard to find him. Also took 6 weeks to get an initial consult of my condition. I have been waiting over 3 weeks hoping to get into his program, seems too busy or has a communications problem. All of my poor marks are for the extremely long delay and lack of communications between his office and my General Doctor and myself. I guess, it's Iowa City in another 2 months for a visit to their LGBTQ Clinics, which means a nearly 4 month wait. Oh well.

Dr. Freund gives new meaning to what being a physician really means. He's a professional with an extremely personable manner. Dr. Freund is honest, loyal, respectful and always shows concern to any problem I've come to him with.I would highly recommend Dr. Freund to anyone and everyone!!!!

"Dr. Joe" is a caring, patient, thoughtful and reliable medical profession with whom I would trust any kind of medical situation. He delivered both our children and saved my son's life when he was born with the cord strangling him. Dr. Joe did everything right and our son was unharmed. Most recently he counselled me and my wife through a 9 day surgical ordeal including six days in intensive care, making himself available by cell phone 24/7 and giving my wife astounding support and sound advice every step of the way as she made decisions about me. His bedside manner is calm, reassuring and wise. He is the best.
