Dr. Joseph A Gargano, DO

Montville Primary Care is a 'hidden gem'. I have received care from Dr. Gargano and Dr. Subrati. Outstanding. In 2008, Dr. Gargano picked up on an issue with some neck pain i had. He referred me to back my cardiologist. My cardiologist (not to be named) said, "we just did a stress test three weeks ago and everything was fine". Dr. Gargano sent me back to my cardiologist and we pushed for a CT heart scan. Sure enough, i had a 98% blockage in my Right Coronary Artery and I had two stents put in several hours later - saved my life. In another instance, my son came home from college and had stomach and inner thigh leg pain. He went to a 'top-notch' well-regarded sports medicine doctor from Morristown Memorial Hospital (not to be named). This doctor told my son it was a muscle strain from paying sports and sent him home to 'ice'. I brought him to my doctor (doctor Gargano) and after a thorough examination, he sent him for a scan. Sure enough, my son needed… an emergency appendectomy. Dr. Gargano made some phone calls and my son had his appendicitis removed four hours later. Personally, I would disregard the reviews about the office staff. I have not experienced it, and if so, it's really immaterial. At the end of the day, this doctor diagnosed two potentially life-threatening medical conditions in my family that other doctors from Morristown Memorial missed. I am more than happy to pay out of network to keep Dr. Gargano as my Primary. This group is top-notch!

Dr. Gargano is a 'hidden gem'. Excellent doctor, excellent bedside manner. If you are looking for a doctor who is very skilled, compassionate, spends quality time with you and is just an all around great person - look no further. Its obvious (to me) that this man went into medicine to help and care for people. Very genuine. I highly recommend him.

He is the most wonderful doctor I ever had!
