Dr. Joseph E Gerhardstein, MD

I've seen Doctor Joe for 4 years. He is the nicest doctor. He takes his time and doesn't rush in and out like most doctors do now a days. He's thorough, explains everything very well. He genuinely seems to care about his patients.

Always has time for his patients.

Dr. Joe always takes the time to listen to concerns. He is very caring and gives good advice.

Dr. Joe has been taking excellent care of me for 30+ years. Outside of my family, no one has provided me with as much encouragement to lose weight and carefully monitor and treat other conditions. If he moved his practice 100 miles away from Lexington, I'd find a way to still be his patient. I cannot recommend him too highly.

Wonderful Dr. Very understanding. Goes out of his way to educate my son about health concerns. Listens.

I have been a patient of Dr. Joe for many years and have been quite satisfied that he give thoughtful and good quality advice. I especially appreciate the fact that he listens carefully, does examinations and considers the patient's preferences after sharing alternative courses of action when giving such advice. In my opinion, I, the patient is fully informed after visiting Dr. Gerhardstein, and I like that!

My friend recommended "Dr. Joe" when I was seeking a second opinion, I was surprised my appt. was made only 2 weeks later,I then wasted over 2 hours to see him.He Questioned me over and over how I knew my friend and seemed surprised we were friends. From the minute he introduced himself he appeared to have made his mind up prior to seeing me and was very degrading to me. I would not recommend him.

He is a great doctor, as long as you are not overweight, don't offer an opinion, or ask any questions. He is rude, condescending and actually got in my face when I asked a question. Wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy and definitely won't go back. He appears to suffer from Little Man Syndrome.

Great Family Doctor. Outstanding Bedside manner. Only problem is everyone thinks the samething. Hard to get an appointment. He is always booked. Most people will not see an other doctor (there are 12 others in the office) because he is the best, and worth the wait.
