It Is a good dr office

Seems like all they are concerned with is getting rid of you as fast as possible. Instead of taking time to listen & ease any fears they would rather make you feel like a paranoid freak. Bedside manner could greatly be improved, empathy goes a long way.

Dr. Golden has given his life to the people of West Virginia, when he could have made a fortune in his home town but he chose to treat the people in West Virginia. He is a wonderful doctor. He takes time with his patients, even if running behind. He puts in numerous hours and is one of a few that still makes home visits. He expects the same courteous service from his staff that he provides. You never hear him complain.

He didn't want to treat hypothyroidism even though I have many of the symptoms such as weight gain, fatigue, depression, hair loss, skin changes such as super dry skin with places on it, sensitive to cold, etc... I wanted to take the natural thyroid med after having a reaction to synthetic so he just didn't treat me. He told me gradual hair loss was part of getting older. It wasn't gradual and it was significant hair loss. He told me to use lotion on the dry spots. I wanted to treat the cause not just put lotion on it. I asked for a copy of my labs from two women and called back also. I still didn't get them.

Needs to refer to specialists more often, rather than doing the guessing game himself.

Refused to sign lab order for bloodwork showing Hashimoto's thyoiditis (autoimmune disease) on a patient of his, even with a letter from an Endocrinologist who recommended testing the whole family because of this being an inherited genetic disorder and it having shown up in her daughter.
