Dr. Joseph Stanley Gondusky, MD

I saw Dr. Gondusky for anterior knee pain that had been building up with increased training volume, especially running. This wasn’t from a specific injury — I wanted a precautionary exam to make sure I wasn’t doing damage by continuing to train through it, since I’m training for multiple Ironman 70.3 & 140.6 races. He reviewed x-rays and gave me some real insight I wasn’t expecting. At 42, my joint space still looks great. But he picked up on a previously undiagnosed MCL and ACL injury, which I was able to trace back to a wakeboarding accident in my early twenties. He also noted more anterior-posterior movement in my right leg compared to my left, which explained the feeling of instability I sometimes get going downhill on runs. Nothing he found was serious, but having a clear explanation — rather than just guessing — gave me real peace of mind to keep training for triathlon and continue toward my Ironman goals. I’d recommend Dr. Gondusky to any endurance athlete dealing with… nagging pain who wants a thorough, precise evaluation rather than a quick brush-off.

Office visit went extremely well. I did not have to wait long at all. After quickly having an X-ray taken, Dr. Gondusky reviewed my x-ray with me and spent adequate time with me reviewing my x-ray, explaining to me the issue with my hip and details on the hip surgery procedure he preforms. He provided detailed answers to all my questions and literature for me to review prior to a surgery.

We have the ultimate faith in Dr G. He replaced my hip, replaced my hubby’s knee, and when I had a recent knee issue he was the only one we considered. Very thorough, kind, attentive, and took his time with us. Dr Bonner at JY performed rotator cuff surgery on me. We’re sold on JY!

He was very pleasant and explained everything. I felt better about the surgery.

I waited for an hour and a half to see the doctor. I was a new patient. When he came in it seems his patience was short. He rushed my service and he was supposed to submit a prescription that was not. I hope he treats other patients better that he treated me. First impressions are lasting.

The waiting was long but Dr Gondusky explained my condition thoroughly, gave a clear but non-pressured recommendation and I left the appointment confident to proceed with the surgery.

The doctor was nice and pleasant and also the staff. The doctor knew exactly what my problem was and went straight to the point and he gave his recommendation to what I needed for my knees. I'll see him again.

The professionalism is exemplary. The pre-care attention to detail eased any pre-operative stress.

Great visit. All staff was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Scary time when learning you have to have hip replacement. The staff and Dr Gondusky made sure to explain my condition and how to properly fix my hip. Professional and courteous.
