A self absorbed bully....control freak.

As stated in so many reviews, this man is a complete d-bag, and unfortunately the head of the psychiatric department of the medical center. When you go there, you are in crisis, and to be confronted with this type of person in that state is really unacceptable. Every other patient there at the time I was agreed this guy is terrible, causing more harm than good.

I've been seeing Dr. Grau for 2 and 1/2 years. In the beginning, I was very close to suicide and Dr. Grau was ridiculously conservative with meds. I have an extreme sleep disorder as well as huge depression. I hadn't had any meaningful sleep in ages and Dr. Grau was so hesitant to prescribe any meds to help me. This made me crazy. But we stuck with each other and it's become better. Nothing is perfect, but it's better. If I had a complaint, it would be that Dr. Grau spends a short amount of time with his patients. I know he's just assessing whether the patient is at risk and is meds need to be adjusted, but sometimes it seems like it's just a moment of his time!

He is very close minded and does not care what you have to say. It is his way or the highway. He is not understanding or helpful. I have debilitating anxiety and told me I can't do anything about it. Don't waste your time. He will not help you and he walked me to the door did not want to spend time with me or care what I was going through

My first experience with this type dr... nightmare! Spent less than 10 min witg me and didn't care what I had to say. He was bossy and told me to take zoloft. Now 2 months later I find that's all he does.

Spent about 5-7 min w me. Didn't listen to a word I said, diagnosed me w something I told him I didn't have. It would be different if he spent 30 min talking to figure it out. I really think he gives zoloft to every person that walks in. Absolutely terrible experience for my first time w this type dr.

although the time with Dr. Grau is limited..from the 1st time in 2012, i was really close to snapping with my issues of Bipolar/Manic Depression, very close to suicide . He listened to me..He has gradually changed or added medications as i needed them..the Staff has ALWAYS been extremely kind and helpful...after going to him, and continuing to go to him. i personally have nothing bad to say about him...and i have a very skeptical opinion of any kind of " quacks "...i like him...

My anxiety was getting physically intolerable, and I get five minutes as well and a dosage higher of one medicine to the next. Also, you're told how you feel, and he doesn't like it when you tell him what he's doing isn't working, and i told him about my eating disorder, and was told, "I dont deal with those problems." Fortunately, I have a GP physician who helped me control my anxiety without making me a Zoloft junkie, and I'm on a very low dose of Valium now that I only may take twice or once a month, because he knows me better than a guy who racks your deductible to Mac, 5 minutes at a time. Never would I recommend.
