Dr. Grzeskiewicz received his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 1987. He served his internship specializing in Surgery at the Naval Hospital in San Diego, and after Flight Surgery training in Pensacola, Florida he served for four years as a Naval Flight Surgeon at MCAS Camp Pendleton, eventually becoming Head of the Medical Department for Marine Aircraft Group 39. He completed his residency specializing in Integrated General and Plastic Surgery at the University of Missouri at Columbia in 1998, where he achieved scores of 99th percentile on the annual national plastic surgery inservice examination each year that he participated as well as earning a fellowship certificate in microsurgery. Following that he completed a one year fellowship in orthopaedic and plastic surgery of the hand at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center. He completed his board certification examinations the first time he was eligible, and he is Certified by the …American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He began his private practice in La Jolla, California in July 1999 and is affiliated with Dr. Scott Barttelbort.
